With Richard ChurchRichard, who has written on this subject for the journal of the Powysland Club, will be focussing on proposals from the 1860s through to the 1960s, to construct dams across the Vyrnwy, Banwy and Tanat valleys,
flooding valleys and uprooting communities; schemes which did not materialise - the dams were never actually built.
