Sunday 15th September  1.30pm - 2.30pm  Tickets ú3  Suitable for ages 4+    Eddie knows her Mum would LOVE a Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty for her birthday.  The only problem is that she doesnÆt know what a Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty is. Do you?  Join Becca and Eddie in a determined search for the perfect present.  This is a marvelous story of self-discovery for children aged 4+ from the talented author and illustrator Beatrice Alemagna.    Enjoy a story time, then have a go at making your very own  Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty!    Non-stop fun was had at our morning with Konnie Huq this month! Konnie visited to celebrate the launch of her brand new series, Cookie and the Most Annoying Boy in the World.  Konnie blew us away with live draw-alongs, brain busting quizzes and games galore!  With rave reviews from David Walliams, Charlie Higson, Jacqueline Wilson, David Baddiel, and Dawn French this new series written and illustrated by Konnie is a must read!    Thanks to Konnie, and everyone who came and made it a morning to remember.    Signed copies now available in store.    æSmart, funny and full of warmth, just like its authorÆ David Walliams  Roald Dahl Creative Writing Workshop  Our budding authors let their imaginations loose in our Roald Dahl themed creative  writing workshop. We explored our favourite Roald Dahl tales to create characters of our own, and began to set their stories in motion. Everyone chose their favourite from three fantastic Creative Writing Workbooks to take home and continue their story.  These inspiring and accessible books are in stock now. Why not join us for Roald Dahl Day, when there'll be 10% off!  Penguinaut Crafternoon    Thanks to everyone who came to our Penguinaut Holiday Crafternoon! We celebrated the 50th anniversary of the moon landings with a storytime & then made our very own rocket ships! This whimsical & charming picture book is sure to delight both children and adults alike, and makes for perfect crafty inspiration.    Orville lives at the zoo, surrounded by animal pals who go on exciting adventures. He struggles to keep up, until one day he concocts an adventure all his own: build a spaceship and fly to the moon all by himself! Can one tiny penguin get there alone? Or will Orville find that sometimes you need a little help from your friends?    Copies available in store.    Our next Crafternoon will be on Sunday 15th September as we share The Marvellous Fluffy Squishy Itty Bitty, an original and beautifully illustrated tale about the joy of finding the perfect gift for a loved one.  Eco Club Pop-Up  We loved getting creative to tackle waste in our Eco Club Pop-Up!  It was inspiring to see so many budding eco warriors passionate about protecting our planet.  We shared ideas about what makes our world special, and how we can create a better future, before making up-cycled tote bags from old T-shirtÆs, drawing our inspiration from The Little Book for Big Changes (https://bookabookshop.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8aff04f3274584e7841d498da&id=fcf82df775&e=1eaa929f94) . It's brimming with ideas about how to make the world a better place. Everyone went away with a copy of this engaging hand book, plus some wild flower seed bombs to plant. Thanks everyone who came!  STEM Pop-Up Workshop    Our budding scientists and engineers showed off their skills at our STEM pop-up workshop. We stretched their creative brains with paper based challenges!  Working in teams, we discovered how you can cut a piece of A4 paper to fit a whole person throught it, what makes the most aerodynamic paper aeroplane, and created a load bearing structure out of paper. Well done to the proud winners of the bridge building challenge! They combined form and function to make something original, visually pleasing and practical. Three favourite September gardens to visit
There are three of Shropshire's favourite gardens open in the coming week for the National Garden Scheme, raising money for nursing and caring charities.  Do visit if you can and enjoy these early autumn gardens in all their glory.  More information on our charity can be found at www.ngs.org.uk.  Thank you for your support.

GOLDSTONE HALL GARDENS

This garden is beautiful all year round but especially so in late summer and autumn.  Open to National Garden Scheme visitors for the final time this year on Wednesday 4th September (2-5pm), this is a must-see garden in Shropshire with its double herbaceous border, roses and huge productive and cutting garden - a mass of colour at this time of year.  Also open By Arrangement for groups until the end of September: Contact: enquiries@goldstonehall.com
