MUSIC AND TALES AT MARKET HALL
Friday December 7th
People visiting Shrewsbury Market Hall can escape from the stresses and strains of Christmas shopping and enjoy a relaxing mix of music and tales at the Bird’s Nest Café this week.
Julia Dean-Richards will be reading snatches of her fantastical novel, Snailbeach Tails, accompanied by music from guitarist and composer, Simon Cresswell, on Friday [DEC 7] from 11am. There will also be a chance to chat with the artists after the performance, and purchase signed copies of the book.
Julia Dean-Richards is a writer and performer of poetry and stories. Snailbeach Tails is her first novel and is a fantasy inspired by the Shropshire landscape and the people who make it special.
Extracts from Snailbeach Tails have been adapted to be performed at festivals, schools and events.
The performance of Snailbeach Tails is accompanied by the guitar playing of Simon Cresswell. Simon composes his own works and teaches guitar in schools and colleges in Shropshire.
