Holiday dancing for children

Message from Colin Case.

Colin has arranged for local children to join the older folk in Ruyton for Music & Movement in the Village Hall.

Every Wednesday morning at 9:15 some of our older folk have an exercise class - mostly movement to music - fairly energetic dancing.

Next week (29th) we are in the Parish Hall (rather than the Victoria Room - it's being decorated). If any children would like to join the `Goldies`they would be more than welcome.

The Village Hall Committee have voted to support my suggestion that these holiday dancing is without charge for the childrent. However, we will have to fit around the planned refurbishment to loos and light fittings - so there may be some "unisex loo" periods.

Can I remind you that our Keep Fit & Dance Instructor is appropriately qualified to teach youngsters as well as "goldies" and she has full DBS clearance (as have I, of course, as a regular volunteer at school).

Obviously Safeguarding is an important consideration when arranging activities. But can I also remind you that neither the Instructor nor I are qualified child-minders, so any children attending must be in the care of a designated adult.
