NSC Hosting Apprenticeship Open Event

North Shropshire College (NSC) will be holding an open evening on Monday 30th November, 4pm until 8pm, for potential apprentices and employers, the evening will be held at the NSC's Oswestry and Walford Campuses. NSC provides training to apprentices at over 400 employers in Shropshire and beyond, small employers can claim £1500 for taking on and training an apprentice but time is limited as the grant is only available until December 2015. There are many employers that work with the College who have vacancies to fill; there is support available from the College to help find a placement.

Louise Almond, Training Officer for Coverage Care Services Ltd, at an Apprenticeships event earlier this year. Coverage Care is one of the largest care providers in Shropshire and employs many NSC apprentices.

In January 2016, a new Access to Higher Education (Access to HE) Health course will be starting at North Shropshire College's (NSC) Oswestry Campus. The Access to HE Health course has been extremely popular at NSC, with many former students going on to University to study many different subjects such as Midwifery, Nursing, Sports Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Work.

New Part-Time Prospectus is Out Soon!

If you are looking for a new pastime, hobby or a way to boost your CV, our new part-time prospectus will be available in December. The prospectus will have a mixed variety of courses coming up in the Spring Term, the courses will range from part-time higher education courses to rural skills legislative qualifications and enrichment courses such as flower arranging and dog training.

The courses will be held at a number of locations across Shropshire, including the four College campuses in Oswestry, Walford, Shipley and Burford. As well as the College campuses, courses will be held in Ellesmere, Market Drayton, St. Martins, Wem and Whitchurch.
