Tree of Light switch on, Oswestry

Message from Hazel Yates, Oswestry Rotary Club of Oswestry.
See attached poster for more details also a form to complete for donations.

You are invited to come and support the Switch On of this year's Rotary Club of Oswestry Charity 'Tree of Light' outside Sainsbury's store.

Starting at 4.30pm, you can get into the Christmas spirit with traditional carol singing lead by The Coppice Singers and the recent National Brass Band Championship Finals 3rd Place winners, the Ifton Colliery Band.

The tree lights will be switched on by Mrs Sarah Longville, Executive Head Teacher of The Marches Academy Trust, at 5.00pm.

Over recent years, the 'Tree of Light' has been a very successful event, raising thousands of pounds for local charities whilst allowing donors to make a donation in remembrance of loved ones or a special event. For a minimum amount of £5.00, using the donation form attached, donors may have a light illuminated on the tree, a commemorative card for their home and an entry in the Book of Remembrance at the store.

Additional sponsor forms can be obtained in advance from Paperwrite at 13, Church Street, Oswestry, from the Club website www.rotarycluboswestry.co.uk and, nearer the time and on the day, from Sainsbury's.

This year, your generosity will support Hope House Hospice, the Midlands Air Ambulance, the Cricket Federation for People with Disabilities, the North Shropshire Special Olympics, the Alzheimer's Society Dementia Cafe (Oswestry) and other Rotary good causes.
