Have a giggle at RATS new production

Message from Claire Trickett, RATS.

Calling the 107,000 viewers of Yoland's mailing list. (Well done, what an amazing number)

How would you vote to spend £1,000,000?

If a generous benefactor gave your community a whopping £1m to spend on anything you wanted, what would you vote for?

That's the question posed by the players of Ruyton Amateur Theatrical Society as they perform The Goodbridge Million, a hilarious comedy play written by Sean Dooley.  Celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, RATS (as they are known locally) will portray an eclectic mix of characters in this Vicar of Dibleyesque spring production running from Thursday 4th May through to Saturday 6th May.

So, what can we expect? Well after years of discussing the same old issues, the Parish Council of Goodbridge is suddenly handed the amazing news that a benefactor is giving the village one million pounds to be spent according to the villagers' wishes. With suggestions ranging from the sublime to the ridiculous, what will win the villagers' vote?

Directed by Ann Johnson, the play is being performed in Ruyton X1 Towns Village Hall. Starting at 7.30pm, tickets are available via the RATS' box office on 01939 260998 or email cnd998 @hotmail.co.uk.  Alternatively, you can buy them from Cafe Eleven in the village. Adult tickets are £7 and concessions £5. Refreshments will be available but feel free to bring your own drinks and nibbles.
