Please note that this screening is subtitled for The Hard Of Hearing, Subtitles appear at the foot of the screen in the same style as regular TV subtitles and in all other respects the film is identical to an un subtitled film.

Three siblings and two crooks plan a heist at one of the busiest, most popular NASCAR events on the calendar.

Meet the Logans. They're a family who struggle in life, being known in their home state of West Virginia for being unlucky – a reputation they've sustained for some 90 years.

Jimmy Logan (Channing Tatum) has his mind set on changing that, however. He and his siblings – Mellie (Riley Keough) and Clyde (Adam Driver) – hatch a plan to forever consign their luckless legend to the history books.

The Logan siblings enlist their friends, the Redneck Robbers, to pull off a daring heist at the Coca-Cola 600 – one of the country's most popular NASCAR events of the season.

If they can come together to successfully complete the heist at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Logans can pocket a cool $14 million dollars to share among themselves.

Featuring Channing Tatum (The Lego Batman Movie) as ringleader Jimmy, Logan Lucky sees the Magic Mike star team up with Adam Driver (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) and Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road) as the trio of Logan siblings, while the film also features the acting talents of Daniel Craig (Spectre) as Joe Bang and Seth MacFarlane (A Million Ways to Die in the West) as Max Chilblain.

The production shot at Charlotte Motor Speedway during the actual NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 and the Bank of America 500, as well as at Atlanta Motor Speedway. In a fun twist, six NASCAR stars pop up in non-driver cameo roles in the film.

To add insult to injury her new status as ex-girlfriend means that she has been relegated to the 'random' table during the reception celebrations. Here however, stuck with the misfits of Table 19, she begins to find some solace amongst her fellow unwanted guests. Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect) leads the comical cast with able support from Stephen Merchant and Lisa Kudrow (Friends). "this low-budget rom-dram rewards patience, with a fine cast delivering strong work. PUCCINI'S PASSIONATE OPERA IS CONDUCTED BY ANTONIO PAPPANO AND STARS A SUPERB YOUNG CAST INCLUDING NICOLE CAR, MICHAEL FABIANO AND MARIUSZ KWIECIEŃ, IN A NEW PRODUCTION BY RICHARD JONES

When Rodolfo, a penniless poet, meets Mimì, a seamstress, they fall instantly in love. But their happiness is threatened when Rodolfo learns that Mimì is gravely ill.

Acclaimed director Richard Jones (Boris Godunov, Il trittico) directs a new production of Puccini's La Bohème. Irresistible in its witty, passionate blend of comedy and tragedy,
the opera focusses on the lives of a group of young artists as they eke out an existence on the bohemian fringes of Paris. Jones brings his characteristically acute insight to this much-loved classic, visualized in Stewart Laing's spectacular setting.

Puccini's romantic depiction of bohemian Paris, with memorable music and a love story drawn from everyday life, has captivated audiences around the world, making La Bohème one of the best-loved of all operas. It was first performed in Covent Garden in 1897 and has had more than five hundred performances there since.

Returning to the director's chair after a decade-long absence, Stanley Tucci sketches the frustrations of creative genius with a fascinating and witty glimpse into the workshop and personality of Swiss sculptor and painter Alberto Giacometti (Rush). In Paris in 1964, Giacometti bumps into an old friend, American writer and art-lover James Lord (Hammer), and invites him to sit for a portrait. Assured that it would take half a day at most, Lord accepts. A half-day turns into days. Days turn into weeks. Giacometti rages at the canvas, unconvinced of his talent. Both flattered and frustrated, Lord cancels a series of flights home. With no end in sight, he's a prisoner to the artist's whims. But as the brushstrokes ebb and flow, Lord ultimately sees logic in the chaos, and painter and subject develop an unusual bond.

Ten years after his original Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore remains deeply committed to publicising the oncoming perils of climate change and, as this movie demonstrates, doing something practical about it. Taking over from original director Davis Guggenheim, directors Bonnie Cohen and Jon Shenk follow Gore as he travels the globe tutoring eco-activists as well as demonstrating to his global warming-denying critics that his original, dour predictions are already proving correct – Miami Beach's regular floods, Hurricane Sandy putting Manhattan's Ground Zero underwater, anybody?

Footage of Barack Obama and Donald Trump's efforts conversely to address and refute the fact of climate change are equally chilling, which is ironic considering that the fifteen hottest years on record have occurred since 2001. Sobering and heartening in equal measure.

"Railing against rising tides, Gore emerges as a cannier performer and a more compelling subject than he was in 2006; a message that sounded critical then has become no less urgent with time." **** The Guardian

"Given the monumental scariness of the original documentary, it's striking how optimistic sections of this one are." **** The Times

A ful throttle war play that revels in the sweat of the battlefield, Coriolanus transports us back to the emergence of the republic of Rome.

Caius Martius Coriolanus is a fearless soldier but a reluctant leader. His ambitious mother attempts to carve him a path to political power, but he struggles to change his nature and do what is required to achieve greatness. In this new city state struggling to find its feet, where the gap between rich and poor is widening every day, Coriolanus must decide who he really is and where his allegiances lie.

Rome Season Director, Angus Jackson, completes our collection of Shakespeare's Roman plays with a visceral production which sees Sope Dirisu (One Night in Miami, Donmar Warehouse, 2016) take on the title role.

Zoli and Barba are young friends who met in a rehabilitation facility for people with physical disabilities. Both boys are frustrated with their lives at the facility, and together they escape into the fantasy worlds they create through their shared passion for comics. After a chance encounter with Rupaszov - a former fireman just released from prison - Zoli and Barba are given the opportunity to go on an adventure just like the ones they dream up in their comics.

The only thing is… Rupaszov is a hitman… and the adventure is murder.

Zoli and Barba soon find themselves involved in the murky underbelly of the Hungarian mafia as hired assassins.

Director, Attila Till, was inspired to write the story for actors with lived experience after volunteering with people with disabilities. He explained that "it was crucial to me to make a movie about disabled people where they finally aren't played by actors, but they get the opportunity to act themselves and be the real heroes."

A must-see for fans of Tarantino, Kills on Wheels is a remarkably original action-packed thriller.

Never afraid to tackle tendentious subjects, director Kathryn Bigelow and writer Mark Boal (Zero Dark ThirtyThe Hurt Locker) now set their sharp sights on the events of 1967 Detroit, which sparked the worst race riots in American history. The action is centred on the Algiers Motel on a sweltering hot July night, where a random shot from a starting pistol brought in the National Guard and a large number of police sharpshooters. Three black men were left dead and several more brutally beaten; a black security guard, Melvin Dismukes (John Boyega, Star Wars' Finn), tried desperately to mediate between his white superiors and an enraged African-American community. Freighted with characteristic dramatic intensity and shot with a gritty realism, Bigelow's latest is a timely reminder of the deep and potentially lethal divisions in American society.

"Each actor inhabits their role with a precision and mettle that means even in the depths of confusion, the complex group dynamics are easy to read." **** The Telegraph

This is a fascinating collection of archive film and television footage, documenting the changing British social attitudes towards the LGBT community during the 20th century. Documented here is both the fight by the LGBT community for equality and also personal stories of people's rights to publically state with pride, 'this is who I am'. The earliest film "How Percy Won the Beauty Competition" (1909) is one of the oldest surviving films of a man in drag; "Battling Bruisers" (1925) tells the tale of two boxers more interested in one another than the fight. Later films feature interviews from the era before LGBT rights were recognised both legally and socially; "AIDS: The Victims" (1985) is a raw reminder of the misconceptions and fear surrounding the disease. Part of the Independent Cinema Office's superb Britain on Film series, LGBT Britain is a moving and illuminating collection and a fitting way to begin our PRIDE film season.

The film will be introduced and followed by Q&A with Geoff Hardy and Peter Roscoe, co-founders of the Shrewsbury Rainbow Film Festival, offering their insights into the gay rights struggle. This promises to be an unmissable evening!

A powerful observational documentary Set inside a single room in Folsom Prison, The Work follows three men from outside as they participate in a four-day group therapy retreat with level-four convicts. Over the four days, each man in the room takes his turn at delving deep into his past. The raw and revealing process that the incarcerated men undertake exceeds the expectations of the free men, ripping them out of their comfort zones and forcing them to see themselves and the prisoners in unexpected ways. The Work offers a powerful and rare look past the cinder block walls, steel doors and the dehumanising tropes in our culture to reveal a movement of change and redemption.

Close Encounters Of The Third Kind:

Spielberg's genre-defining masterpiece returns to mark its 40th anniversary, allowing a new generation to experience Close Encounters of the Third Kind on the big screen.

When electrical lineman, Roy Neary (Richard Dreyfuss), spots a UFO while out working on some emergency repairs, nobody will believe that what he saw was real. His wife and children are sceptical to begin with, but Roy's growing obsession to learn the truth behind the mysterious presence begins to strike fear in them.

Why would a man of such logical mindset suddenly be willing to drop everything to pursue something he didn't believe in? As Roy searches for the truth, he meets with others who have had similarly unusual experiences. Together, they end up on at path that leads to Devil's Tower, Wyoming.

The truth, it seems, is just around the corner.

How does a director follow Jaws, a movie which redefined popular cinema and kickstarted the summer blockbuster trend? Spielberg pulled it off with style and panache with Close Encounters of the Third Kind, and then continued a run of iconic movies throughout the eighties and up to the present day. It's a career unmatched by anyone before or since.

Not only does it feature a classic score and the infamous mashed-potato sculpture scene, but was ahead of its time in its portrayal of alien life forms. Now, 40 years after it dazzled cinemagoers, the sci-fi classic returns to its rightful home for generations old and new.

Audiences will also be treated to a short about the making of the film which includes an all new interview with Steven Spielberg.

FOLLOW ALICE DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE IN CHRISTOPHER WHEELDON'S EXUBERANT BALLET, INSPIRED BY LEWIS CARROLL'S MUCH-LOVED BOOK

At a garden party on a sunny afternoon, Alice is surprised to see her parents' friend Lewis Carroll transform into a white rabbit. When she follows him down a rabbit hole events become curiouser and curiouser...
As Alice journeys through Wonderland, she encounters countless strange creatures. She's swept off her feet by the charming Knave of Hearts, who's on the run for stealing the tarts. Confusion piles upon confusion. Then Alice wakes with a start. Was it all a daydream?

Christopher Wheeldon's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland burst onto the stage in 2011 in an explosion of colour, stage magic and inventive, sophisticated choreography. Joby Talbot's score combines contemporary sound worlds with sweeping melodies that gesture to ballet scores of the 19th century. Bob Crowley's wildly imaginative, eye-popping designs draw on everything from puppetry to projections to make Wonderland wonderfully real.

Alice encounters a cast of extraordinary and instantly recognizable characters, from the highly strung Queen of Hearts – who performs a hilarious send-up of The Sleeping Beauty's famous Rose Adage – to a playing-card corps de ballet, a sinuous caterpillar and a tap-dancing Mad Hatter. But the ballet does not avoid the darker undercurrents of Lewis Carroll's story: a nightmarish kitchen, an eerily disembodied Cheshire Cat and the unhinged tea party are all here in vivid detail. The delicious result shows The Royal Ballet at its best, bringing together world-class dance with enchanting family entertainment.

The latest film from acclaimed director David Lowery (Ain't Them Bodies SaintsPete's Dragon) is a singular exploration of legacy, loss, and the essential human longing for meaning and connection. A white-sheeted ghost (Affleck) returns to his suburban home to console his bereft wife (Mara), only to find that in his spectral state he has become unstuck in time, forced to watch passively as the life he knew and the woman he loves slowly slip away. Increasingly unmoored, the ghost embarks on a cosmic journey through memory and history, confronting life's ineffable questions and the enormity of existence. An audacious, unforgettable meditation on the passage of time, A Ghost Story emerges ecstatic and surreal – a wholly unique experience that lingers long after the credits roll.

In ancient times humans looked to the flight and songs of birds to foretell the future. Today once again, birds have something to tell us.

Hard science and awe share center stage in The Messenger, a wide-ranging study of songbirds' dwindling numbers and the people who are working to protect them. Traveling the world to spotlight challenges and solutions, filmmaker Su Rynard never loses sight of the winged tunesters' sheer beauty, or their emotional and symbolic pull as perceived intermediaries between the earthly and spiritual.

Rynard's film posits that songbirds, which account for half the planet's birds, are, collectively, the canary in the coal mine of the planetary ecosystem: Their decline is a signal of conditions that will affect us all. The director visits with ornithologists, biologists and ecologists who study migratory patterns, track populations and pinpoint growing threats: light and noise pollution, habitat destruction, climate change, the blanket use of insecticides, and – news that some cat people might not want to hear – species-devastating predation by outdoor domestic felines.

Bolstering the doc's central argument, that a world without songbirds would be a greatly diminished one, are the loving images of warblers, grosbeaks and their cousins. Cinematographers Daniel Grant and Amar Arhab showcase individuals at rest, in super-macro shots, as well as in flight. The doc's stunning slo-mo footage of midair locomotion emphasizes these messengers' grace and mystery.
