Gardens galore open this weekend for the National Garden Scheme in Shropshire, raising money for cancer and nursing charities including Macmillan, Marie Curie, Hospices UK and many other important causes. Private garden owners across Shropshire will be opening their garden gates to visitors, sharing their beautiful green spaces, serving up lovely homemade teas, selling plants and raising money for these vital charities. More information on the National Garden Scheme can be found at www.ngs.org.uk or following the links below to individual gardens. The following Shropshire gardens will be opening for the Scheme this coming weekend: Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th May (2-5pm): Upper Shelderton House, Shelderton, nr Clungunford, Craven Arms, SY7 0PE: delightful 6 acre garden full of beautiful azaleas & rhododendrons in May: https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/32796/ Sunday 13th May (2-5pm): The Citadel, Weston-under-Redcastle, SY4 5JY; unique castellated house set in 4 acres of mature gardens with trees, rhododendrons, azaleas; walks & thatched Victorian summerhouse: https://www.ngs.org.uk/find-a-garden/garden/328/ Sunday 13th May (2-6pm): Guilden Down Cottage, Clun, Craven Arms, SY7 8NZ: delightful one acre organic garden with spectacular views and plant-packed borders and wildlife pond.
