Major Acting Lieutennt Colonel GUY WILLIAM GOING THRELFALL M.C. 53935. `A` Squadron 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars, Royal Armoured Corp. Career Soldier. Son of Major Charles Morris Threlfall and Mabel Threlfall. Husband of Margaret Coleman (nee Spinks). Brother of Charles Reginald Morris and Dorothy Margaret, half brother to John, of Ruyton Manor, Ruyton XI Towns. His brother also served and was killed in 1940. Killed by shrapnel from a shell burst near Caen on 25th July 1944, aged 32. Buried in Ranville War Cemetery, Calvados, France
