DAMSON TREES FOR DOCTORS MEADOW SPINNEY
David Shearan would like to plant 3 or 4 damson trees in the Doctor`s Meadow Spinney.
Damsons were once a vital part of village life in Ruyton XI Towns, when selling the fruit provided extra income.
HAVE YOU GOT A DAMSON TREE on your property?
Young plants, seedlings or suckers, under the tree are just what is needed to plant in the new woodland.
At the moment they will look like sticks, but the upper parts are green.
