Hello from us all at Qube...
It's all change in the gallery this month as we have three new exhibitions on display. In the Main Gallery is our annual Photography competition on the theme 'Identity'. In our Alcove Gallery you can see the work by local artists Gill Crozier and Janie Mcloed, then head upstairs to our Balcony to see acrylics by Colin Rose.
We've added more courses and events online. Coming soon is a new silversmithing workshop with Amy from Rustic and Wild and an evening talk with Sarah Gathercole on the life and work of Claude Cahun. There are also weekly beginners art classes with Claire Somerville and a pottery course with Georgie Wright.
Are you part of a voluntary organisation or community group? Below are details of free online courses looking at a range of subjects, from mental health and safeguarding to press releases and working with volunteers. There is also information on grants currently available to apply for.

On display until 28th March are entries to this year's photograph competition, all on the theme 'Identity'. Congratulations to Mark Prescott, this year's Best in Show Winner! A range of online training events have been launched to support community groups, volunteer organisations and volunteers within Shropshire. The events are being managed by the Shropshire Infrastructure Partnership (SIP) Voluntary & Community Support Team and are funded by Shropshire Council. We've added new arts and crafts to our shop over the last few weeks. On display are a large range of cards and prints, glass work, paintings, jewellery, recycled crafts, textiles and woodwork. Come and take a look and support local artists and makers.

Qube is celebrating our 30th birthday later this year. As you may know, Qube is currently based within the old Queen's Hotel building. Lateral Flow Test kits are now available from our reception desk. Please do not come in if you have covid symptoms. Due to high demand they are currently limited to one box per household to ensure availability for as many people as possible. There are 7 tests in each box. | | | | | |
