Can you help? Shrewsbury Repair Cafe needs volunteers

Message from Sue Boulding, Baschurch.

Now that the Shrewsbury Repair Cafe has moved to new and much nicer premises at the United Reform Church (by the English Bridge) it's got quite busy.

We already have volunteers for clothing and textiles, and repairers of clocks, electronic and small electrical goods but could do with more volunteers, especially as our bike repairer/general engineer is moving away.

If anyone might be interested in volunteering they'd be very welcome to drop in at one of the sessions, held on the third Saturday of each month to have a chat and see for themselves.

We're a really friendly group of all ages, so it's as much a social as well as practical thing, and it's good to know that we're saving items from being sent to landfill or the incinerator.

We only do repairs, not alterations, and are careful not to take custom away from local businesses.

Sessions are from 10 till 2, there's free parking and as much tea and coffee as you can drink!
