Message from Alyson Lister, Ruyton Parish Council
All the items donated this week via The Talbot Inn have now been taken to The Salvation Army hall at Coleman with the help of Paul the licencee and a group of Ruyton villagers. Many thanks to them.
The Ukraine Front Line Support Group are the organisation currently sending shipments to Poland and Ukraine and were publicised by The Shropshire Star so have been verified as legitimate.
The Bread Trust as you may already know has been publicised by Lucinda Burns our vicar so between the two causes our community has provided all it can for the moment. We intend to continue collecting both at the pub and also private addresses until another shipment has been accrued (as the war is likely to go on for some time and the needs of the refugees and those at the frontline will vary). Please be assured all due care has been taken by all involved to ensure the security and expeditious transportation of goods to those most in need.
We will endeavour to keep you informed of changes to the list of items most needed and where they can be left as we hear from the UFLS. Please if you have access to Facebook also look out for useful information and instructions on the Ruyton Village sites on how best you can help this ongoing mission. Once again thank you to everyone involved.
