Hello film-enthusiasts - this is James from the new-look Oswestry Film Society.

We've been working hard towards transitioning everything from the old to the new, and are now just a few days away from showing our first film. 

It's this coming Tuesday night, Jan 17, 7.30pm at the usual venue, the Kinokulture cinema. We're showing a great drama/courtroom battle/life story, with Julia Roberts in the lead role that's also the title of the film - Erin Brockovich. I'm really looking forward to seeing it on the big screen.

Please do come along so we can get the Society up and running from day one. You can purchase tickets in advance via the website, which is still www.oswestryfilmsociety.com

We have a slightly different email address:  it's now oswestryfilmsoc@gmail.com   (so omitting -iety from the end of soc). You can contact me here, and I can also pass on other questions, comments etc.

The date is also set for our second film - Tues Feb 7. It's Let Him Go, a recent film starring Kevin Costner. It was well reviewed when it first came out, but many people missed it as it was lockdown time.

We intend to follow the old society's calendar - so films to be shown on the first and third Tuesdays of the month.

Please support us, and encourage others to come to the cinema. We don't want to lose the opportunity to screen films in Oswestry, and to enjoy the big-screen cinemaic experience. The cafe and bar will continue, so all good!
