We say Oswestry is friendly, historic and surprising and we would love to show you why. Historic Oswestry began 3000 years at our iron age hill fort. Since then, our lively market town has grown and is surrounded by awesome castles, beautiful landscapes and stunning industrial heritage. Don't miss the UNESCO World Heritage site of Pontcysyllte Aqueduct or one of our heritage steam railways. Our visitors say it's surprising just how many things there are to see and do near here. One of the best things to do in Oswestry is to visit on market days and wander round the street and indoor markets and then explore Oswestry independent shops.
