Dear Blogger
Brownhill House has received a letter from Shropshire Highways dd July 2024 but received on 10th July.
The road will be closed on the Brownhill, B4397,"between Little Ness Road and High Street from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th July under a 24 hour closure - NO ACCESS AT ALL TIMES".
I have attached a copy of the letter which people living in Ruyton and local villages might find useful, especially if you live on the Brownhill.
People living in a few houses will be completely marooned and the rest of us will have to find our way to the A5, Shrewsbury or Oswestry either by local knowledge or an OS map!
The alternative route suggested is from Church Street via Whittington, Ellesmere, Cockshutt, Burlton and Baschurch!
One useful aspect of the road closure is that we can work on road side trees and hedges which would otherwise likely end in being squashed by passing vehicles.
I hope this is useful,
Yoland
