Message from Eluned at Derwen College
Derwen College, near Oswestry, was honoured to receive a visit from HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Edward, this week.
Students and staff were proud to meet The Duke as he toured the College's dedicated Duke of Edinburgh's Award Outdoor Centre, before visiting our Marketplace of shops and eateries where young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) learn work skills for future employment.
HRH stayed for a celebratory lunch in the College's The Orangery Restaurant with students, staff and local dignitaries.
It really was a wonderful day that many of our students will remember forever!
