Dear Blogger
It is a very long time since we had the very new Brownhill House Garden featured on Gardeners World in 1991 - when we were young and fit and full of energy and plans for the future.
Tonight
BRAMBLE COTTAGE at Shotatton was featured on Gardener`s World
Margaret phoned and alerted me to this very important programme but I am afraid life got in the way and I was not able to publicise the event in time.
But please do watch the programme as the garden is stupendous and quite unlike anything I have ever seen before.
The sad thing about the intervening 35 years is that there is less time to fit in all the things we ought to have done, including visit Bramble Cottage and also New Mills which is also open for the the National Gardens Scheme.
Next year is the 100th anniversary of the first NGS private gardens open to the public. So please make the effort to visit as many NGS gardens as possible including the ones in Ruyton XI Towns and especially Bramble Cottage at Shotatton. Your visits raise so much for all the very worthy charities supported by the NGS.
My apologies to Brigette and Adam.
