Shrewsbury Market Hall is located under the town’s iconic clocktower and boasts a vibrant mix of eclectic stalls selling a range of goods from traditional fruit, vegetables, fish and meat to Middle Eastern delights, champagne and oysters, vintage wares, clothes, books, trinkets, handmade jewellery and more.
The market’s main trading days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays with a select few stalls open on Thursday mornings - "the market seems to be bucking the national trend and is bustling which is great.”

On Saturday 4th August, Chris was given a rousing sent off from Ruyton Post Office when Joanne presented him with a cheque for £480 collected from his grateful customers. The card which went with the money had kind words from the people whose days he brightened - and he had a van full of farewell goodies given him by other customers. He surely will be missed.
A new postman for the village has not yet been decided upon but he certainly has a hard act to follow. Chris was always cheerful, had a word for everyone he met and shared many a laugh with us as well.
