Election - Police & Crime Prevention Commissioner

Our Memorial Hall has been booked all day on Thursday 15th November for the Police & Crime Commissioner Elections.
You should have received your Polling Card and a Booklet from the Electoral Commission by now (you can see the booklet at www.aboutmyvote.co.uk )
Information about the Candidates in our area should be available on this web site as well - though there was nothing there when I looked this morning.
If you are not yet Registered to enable you to vote, remember Registration closes on 31st October.

There is a Public Husting arranged in Shrewsbury on Friday 9th November - see this page:- http://bit.ly/PTYKfZ
There seem to be many points of view regarding these Elections - "pity it seems to be mostly Party Political" is common, "important change to make Police more accountable" is another, "total waste of time and money - I encourage you not to vote" is the view of an ex-Met Commissioner, Sir Ian Blair:-http://thetim.es/PU0lCn
But whatever your view, access to the information is important.

Anyone who can't access the on-line information is welcome to visit the Broadplace on a Friday between 11:00 and 3:00 and we will help you find what you want.

I have requested an email alert when Candidate Information is published - I will get Yoland to copy it round this distribution list when it comes.
