THE NAPOLEONIC WARS by Paul Ridgely
I would love to be there to find out how the war on our doorstep affected Shropshire but I will be at the River Perry meeting in the Memorial Hall.
I know there is a lot about French POWs who were in the Welshpool area - where there is a great little museum - and, coming from South Dorset, I had Thomas Hardy`s stories of the time well drilled into me but sadly I will not be able to be there tonight.
