Residents are reminded that Elections for Councillors to the Unitary Authority (Shropshire Council) are due on 2nd May
Nominations are closed, and a list of Candidates is published on the Shropshire Council Web Site here:-

For those unfamiliar with the "structure" of our Division, I offer the following explanation:-
Our "Division" is called "Ruyton and Baschurch Division" and is allocated one "seat" for a Councillor on Shropshire Council.
Our Division is made up of three Parish Council Areas - Ruyton XI Towns, Baschurch and Hordley.
It is interesting to note, that of the three Candidates who live in the Division, there is one from each of the three Parish Council Areas - how very democratic.
The list of Candidates is repeated below, and has been displayed on Notice Boards within the Parish.
I will send a second email round the system describing the situation in Ruyton and Baschurch Parish Councils.
