 Herman's Letter - Tom Percival Thursday 26th September 2013 – 4.00pm at Booka Join children's author and illustrator Tom Percival on publication day for an after school Storytelling and Book Signing as he launches his fantastic new picture book Herman’s Letter. In this charming story, Herman the bear embarks upon an epic journey to deliver a very special letter and to ensure that his friendship with Henry the racoon really is FOREVER. With lift-the-flap letters and stunning artwork, Herman’s Letter is guaranteed to be a hit – we LOVE this book and you will too! Tom will be reading Herman’s Letter and signing copies afterwards. Thursday 3rd October 2013 - 7.00pm at Booka Our 'live' drawing class event with artist, illustrator and bird lover Matt Sewell is now FULLY BOOKED Matt will be passing on top tips that lie behind his distinctive style and talking about his feathered friends. Our Songbirds is the beautiful follow-up, Our GardenBirds, one of our favourite books of 2012. In Our Songbirds, Matt offers more fantastic watercolours and quirky descriptions of British songbirds. In Matt’s world, the peewit sings the blues, and the bittern fills his neck ‘like a tweed pair of bellows’. Distinctive and enchanting, with a songbird for each week of the year, this delightful gift book will appeal to birders, children and adults, and art and design fans alike.
