Save Baschurch Fire Station

Message from Colin Case.

Our Fire Crews attend more Road Traffic Accidents than fires.
This is the latest.
Where would we be without the Baschurch Fire Crew?
Write to our MP (Owen Paterson) and insist that Baschurch remains operational.

From the Shropshire Star (my emphasis) :-

Firefighters were called to attend the crash at about 10.40am. It caused traffic congestion along the main A5/A483 route.

The driver was not trapped in his cab and was uninjured in the crash which happened at a roundabout near Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital.

Firefighters were called to deal with a fuel spillage from the crashed lorry.

Crews from Oswestry, Ellesmere, Baschurch and Wellington were called to the incident.

They used soil to deal with the fuel spillage.

A spokeswoman from the West Midlands Ambulance Service said they were not called to the incident.
