Update on SHOP & POST OFFICE The committee looking into ways of saving our much loved Shop and Post Office continues to investigate leads for us to keep it in the village as a community venture. Anyone with any further ideas, Please contact The Secretary, eleventowns@outlook.com Update on MEETING at Shire Hall regarding TRAFFIC CALMING in villages with Shropshire by Consultant Ben Hamilton- Baillie. Over 100 delegates from parishes throughout Shropshire attended the presentation by Ben Hamilton Baillie in the Council Chamber at Shire Hall, Shrewsbury. This was promoted by our own Ruyton XI Towns Parish council, aided and abetted by SALC. It was an exciting evening. The talk was both informative and inspiring. Examples of successful changes to road layout in many villages and towns were shown. The dangers from fast moving traffic and enormous trucks had been much reduced, accident figures remarkably lowered and pleasant spaces restored. There was much helpful advice to follow up in our own communities. BHB had spent half a day here in our village and has sent us a brief resume of his impressions. The next step here in Ruyton XI Towns, will be announced after the Parish Council meeting on the 11th April.
