Bank Holiday fun with the National Garden Scheme
Agapanthus, heleniums, and rudbeckias are amongst the favourites of late summer, bringing a symphony of colour to the Great British garden. The summer bank holiday is the perfect time to get outdoors and visit a garden, and with openings all over England & Wales the choice is plenty! From bright dahlias and bold grasses at Beechleigh to grottos and sculptures at Cwm-Weeg, to find a garden open near you click the button below.

All Gardens Great & Small
We're absolutely delighted that many of our gardens are going to be the subject of a new television programme called All Gardens Great & Small, with Miranda Hart and her mother Dee Hart Dyke. The programme, which starts on Monday (August 21st) on More4, will follow past National Garden Scheme volunteer Dee as she travels the UK visiting gardens that open for us!

Last weekend we launched the inaugural Gardens & Health Week (August 12th – 20th) dedicated to promoting the positive impact gardens can have on health and wellbeing.  Many of our beneficiaries and other charity partners have been organising groups to visit our gardens during the week. Hospice UK have been a beneficiary of ours for nineteen years and gardens are at the heart of many hospices. As well as having a beautiful garden, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care have bought the benefits of gardening and nature inside, to have a therapeutic role within the hospice, and have made a video especially for Gardens & Health Week.
