Jeannette Walls had the most unusual of upbringings – a nomadic existence, led across America by her unconventional parents. Her mother was an eccentric artist and her father, an alcoholic, did his best to distract Jeannette and her siblings from their impoverished life through wild flights of imagination. It was an upbringing which gave Jeannette the determination to carve out an adult life on her own terms. This true story, based on Walls' own memoir, is brought to the screen with an impressive cast: Brie Larson takes the lead with Naomi Watts and Woody Harrelson as her parents.
