Discover the wonders of our environment & how YOU can make a difference, then create your very own tote bag from an old t-shirt.
Everyone attending will receive a copy of the Little Book for Big Changes; packed with over 100 puzzles, games, craft activities, experiments and tips, this engaging activity book is full of fun and creative ideas to help look after our planet û and each other!

STEM Pop-Up Workshop

Explore, discover & invent! Stretch your science and engineering brains to experiment with paper, solve problems, design and create. Test your ingenuity skills to build a load bearing structure, and choose from two fantastic Usborne STEM books to take home.

We were delighted to welcome pupils from Shocklach Oviatt Primary over three days to enjoy a story time in the bookshop, and choose their next read! Thanks for visiting, it was a pleasure to welcome you, and share some of our favourite books.
Pupils from Whittington Primary and Our Lady and St Oswald's Primary enjoyed a visit from author James Nicol as he shared the latest book in his spell-binding series; The Apprentice Witch. We have signed copies of the series available in the shop on a two for ú10 special offer - come and discover your new favourite read!
The Independent Booksellers' Children's Book of the Month for June is The Good Thieves by Katherine Rundell. Katherine will be visiting pupils at Woodside Primary on Wednesday 19th June to celebrate the launch of her latest amazing adventure story. We have signed copies in stock, so don't miss out!

Katherine will also be joining us in the evening for an adult event based around her essay Why You Should Read Children's Books, Even Though You Are So Old and Wise. We will have this on special early release for Independent Bookshop Week.
