Public meeting 26.10.2021 re. Airband rollout in the parish A public meeting will be held via Zoom on Tuesday 26th Oct 2021 at 7.00 pm to receive info on the Airband Full Fibre Broadband rollout in Ruyton XI Towns Parish. Ruyton XI Towns parish is earmarked for Airband's rollout of Full Fibre Broadband infrastructure. There will be a presentation from Airband's Community Liaison Officer with an overview of the project, the technology, processes, and how residents/businesses can register their interest, followed by Q&A. AFFECTED AREAS As well as properties in Ruyton village, Airband coverage is expected in the following parish areas: Weirbrook, Olden Lane, and Park Bank. Please see the attached map for more info, which shows locations (purple dots) where superfast broadband coverage is planned through Airband's state-aided contracts by the end of 2021. Welcome to our new councillors After the May elections, there were two vacant spots on the Council. We are pleased to announce that we have now filled both vacant seats with the co-option of Robert Hamlett, and Luke Penton on to the Council. Robert officially took up his seat at the October meeting, and Luke will be taking up his seat at the November meeting. We are looking forward to working with both Robert and Luke to help improve life for everyone in the local community.
