Don`t blame Trevor for forgetting the timetable - you should have realised it was I who forgot to attach it!!
Message from Trevor Allison, Ruyton`s footpath and bus guru.
After a week of travelling on the 'shuttle' every day, I can say that for most of the time it ran reasonably to time, but that Arriva is suffering from a shortage of drivers, and sometimes the 'shuttle' was late, up to 40 minutes on one occasion. You must take the 'shuttle' as far as it can go, which is the bus stop opposite the Nobold turn and quickly walk the 800 metres from there to the roundabout at the south end of Baschurch. The 'ordinary' 576 is attempting to run to the normal timetable, but goes from Wolfshead via the A5 to Montford Bridge, then minor roads via Fitz to the Leaton War Memorial, then up to the Baschurch roundabout and then back and on to Shrewsbury via the normal route. But the one thing I CANNOT do is guarantee that the connection will be made!
If the shuttle to Baschurch is more than a few minutes late, then the better thing to do is to catch it on its way back to Oswestry, ask it to stop at Shotatton crossroads, and then pick up the Shrewsbury bound X5 by standing on a cable duct cover on the A5, opposite the Ship, and indicating to the X5 driver that you want to catch it.
I attach, hopefully, the 'shuttle' timetable we were sent in EXCEL format.
But nothing can be guaranteed!
Kindest regards
Trevor
