Baschurch road closure delayed (originally 1st-13th Aug)
The road closure in Baschurch (originally scheduled for 1st-13th August to connect a water line for the new houses) has been delayed due to an extension request on the Network Rail works which is in direct conflict with this road closure. The Network Rail repair work on the level crossing is currently expected to continue until Friday 4th August, but this is provisional for now, and obviously further discussion is needed between Shropshire Council Streetworks, TC Homes and their contractors etc., to factor in this change to the timeframe, and the potential knock-on effect of other closures in the area (including the Ruyton resurfacing work which was due to follow on immediately after the Baschurch closure came to an end).
As soon as we know more we will update everyone.
Impact on 576 bus
As the Baschurch road closure is not now going ahead on Aug 1st, the 576 bus will follow its normal timetable for the time being. When we have a confirmed start and end date for the Baschurch road closure, we will publish the Tanat Valley shuttle bus timetable (we've just this minute received what should hopefully be the final version).
Please do share this news with anyone you know who uses the 576 bus so they know there will be no change to service for the time being.
