CIL project design maps, plans, and artist's impressions now available to view online

Shropshire Council has prepared some information on the proposals for the CIL road safety and streetscape project for Ruyton XI Towns. This project is provisionally scheduled to take place during October half term, and is therefore separate to the resurfacing work scheduled to take place from Aug 14th – Sept 8th. More information on the resurfacing work and associated road closures can be found here.

You can find more information about the CIL proposals on the Shropshire Council Community Infrastructure Levy webpage, which includes design maps, streetlighting plans, artists impressions, and some FAQs.

It was originally intended that Shropshire Council and WSP officers would attend a public information session in July to talk to residents and answer any questions on these proposals, but unfortunately Shropshire Council has had to postpone the event for the time being. The Parish Council will update residents as soon as we have confirmation of a new date for the public information session.

In the meantime, residents are very much encouraged to have a look at the project information on the Shropshire Council website to familiarise yourselves with the proposals. If you have any feedback, comments, or questions, please do email these direct to strategic.highways@shropshire.gov.uk and copy in the Parish Council Clerk at parishclerk@ruytonxitownsparishcouncil.org.uk, as this will help the Parish Council keep track of public opinion on the proposals. If your email requires an answer, then Shropshire Council/WSP will reply to you directly.
