RUYTON XI TOWNS PARISH COUNCIL NEWSLETTER UPDATE

Shuttle buses will connect at Admiral Duncan during Baschurch road closure Ruyton XI Towns Parish Council has been working very hard in the background with both Shropshire Council and the bus operator Tanat Valley Coaches to ensure continuation of the 576 bus service during the forthcoming road closure in Baschurch, from Tues 1st to Sun 13th August. Similar to closures in previous years, there is due to be a shuttle bus running between Oswestry and Baschurch that will terminate at the Admiral Duncan, where passengers will be able to transfer to another shuttle bus running between Baschurch and Shrewsbury. The Parish Council has had confirmation from Shropshire Council Streetworks department that the Oswestry shuttle buses will be able to bypass the closed section of road in Baschurch, in order to connect with the Shrewsbury shuttle at the Admiral Duncan. Tanat Valley Coaches are currently in the process of completing final amends and checks of the revised timetables, and Parish Council representatives have been closely involved in this process to make sure the proposed shuttle service will run smoothly. The Parish Council will publicise the temporary timetables as soon as we are able, but in the meantime we wanted to reassure residents that this is being dealt with as a priority.
