| Volunteer Week Celebrations Volunteer Week was a huge deal for Qube as many of our services wouldn't be able to run if it wasn't for the help of our volunteers. We wanted to celebrate our volunteers so we organised a Coffee and Catch Up afternoon. It was wonderful to get together, catch up, share some gifts and certificates with our volunteers and also meet some wonderful people whom our volunteers brought along to see if volunteering would suit them. We had a great time and can't wait for next year's get-together. |

Qube become Dementia Friendly Organisation Qube's biggest ethos is to be an inclusive organisation, and as such our staff and a number of our volunteers have become Dementia Friends. By becoming a Dementia Friend at work or as a volunteer means that the team will be helping people with Dementia to feel understood and supported and they'll be able to improve their experience during their visit to Qube. |

| High Sheriff Visits Qube We had a wonderful visit from Mandy Thorn, the High Sheriff of Shropshire earlier this month! She got to meet the wonderful Qube team, take a look at Michele Coxon's fantastic exhibition, experience the buzz of our Thursday social group, and meet some of our fantastic volunteers. It was great to learn more about her role and also hear about how we could work with other organisations in the local area. |

| ?Exclusive event for Carers? We couldn't let Carers Week just pass by without some acknowledgement and as such we have cooked up a special event, especially for carers.
Qube will be playing host to a Carer's Crafty Drop-In Session at the end of July. This session is exclusively for carers, which offers the opportunity to chat with like-minded people whilst doing something crafty to clear the mind - you can either bring something you're already working on or take advantage of using some of our craft materials.
Here are the details: ??Qube ??Saturday 29th July 2023 ?10am-12pm
The event is completely free and we'll be offering unlimited tea, coffee and biscuits, all we ask is for a kind suggested donation of £3 per person.
PS. Booking is essential to ensure we have plenty of space for everyone, call 01691 656882 or email info@qube-oca.org.uk |

Qube host ART-efact Launch Bash Qube is delighted to be part of the Oswestry's Cultural Consortiums' new artist-in-residence program, ART-efact, due to be the centrepiece of Oswestry's 2023 creative programme "Summer of Art".
Qube hosted the launch of the programme, where the selected four local artists were announced. The artists will have a unique opportunity to have paid time to work intimately with the collections and archives at Oswestry Town Museum or Oswestry Town Council.
ART-efact will culminate in an iconic group exhibition for the 2023 Heritage Open Days programme, themed "Creativity Unwrapped". During the residency, artists can work in a supportive and collaborative environment with facilitator Holly Maries. They will also share their work with us here at Qube and Designs in Mind, helping improve access to Oswestry's culture and community well-being. |
