GERALD LINDNER of Powis House, Church Street Ruyton XI Towns,
passed away peacefully in his sleep in hospital on 29th December, after a short illness. He was 94.
Gerald`s funeral will be at Emstrey Crematorium on 25th January at 15.30 with a wake to follow at Pengwern Boat Club from 17.15.
Parking at the Boat Club will be limited or unavailable if the river is still flooded. Options for car parks and park and ride can be found here: https://originalshrewsbury.co.uk/parking The Park and Ride option has a drop off at Barker Street which is 15 minutes walk from the boat club and the service runs every 20 minutes. Donations in memory and in lieu of flowers will be given to Prostate Cancer UK, West Felton Church and Ruyton XI Towns Church.
Gerald played the organ at both at Ruyton and West Felton churches. A keen rower from his youth, Gerald always attended the great Henley Regatta and he also worked with disabled rowers.
Gerald`s wife Pat who died several years ago, was involved in starting the Ruyton XI Towns Garden Club.
