Castle Events during the School Holidays
26th July - Illustrated Talk - The Siege of Oswestry 1644 at 7.15pm cost £2.50 a ticket.
27th-28th July Multi Period Living History Event.
Open 10-4pm each day. Cost £2 per person. Come and enjoy a weekend of Historic Living History at the Castle. From Roman civilians, Medieval displays of cooking, weapons and fighting to Boat building crafts and medicine. Their will be Tudor ladies demonstrating cookery and textiles as well as The Cheshire Militia showing of musket firing and drills. The 18th century will be represented with some British Redcoats from the 22nd Foot complete with muskets firing. Refreshments stalls as well as craft stalls will mean something for all the family to enjoy.

The House of the Blackstar - Medieval Re-enactment display
4th August - Car Boot Sale
17th-18th August Craft and Country Fair
Open 10-4pm each day. Cost £2 per person. Pen-y-Bryn Falconry, craft stalls, refreshments, canoe rides on the moat. Ideal family day out.
26th August - Car Boot Sale
Each Wednesday during the holidays "The Order of Fitzwarine" Holiday Club from noon until 1.15ish. Each week a guest will include Medieval Doctor, crafts, facepainting and gruesome wounds, drama and role play sessions.
