Could I please ask you to warn computer users that the ‘Microsoft’ scammers are targeting numbers on our exchanges again. I’ve had calls from a number or people about this – two have paid the criminals £150 each.
Microsoft will NEVER ring an individual, and the person on the other end of the phone has no idea whether a computer is present at the address – let alone that there is anything wrong with it. Best advice is just to put the phone down.
