Art taster course at WNSC

Message forwarded by Pam Johnson - there is always something going on in Oswestry!

Is Art for you?

What is the course about?

Art is not only for those who can draw or paint, many different media can be used to express yourself.  The aim of this course is to enable, and encourage those who might have been put off art courses because they think they cannot draw.

Students are encouraged to learn how to use different media, to find what is right for them. Many elements of art will be used, different media, including mono printing, painting & drawing, collage, pattern, book art, drawing with paper and many more (depending on how long the course runs for)

Is there anything I need to bring with me?

A 'basic' kit of pencil, rubber, ruler, compass (if you have one), glue stick, pen and scissors/craft knife.

Tuition fees £42.00

A small materials fee will apply some weeks dependent on what we are using.

To see if you would be interested there will be a free taster session on Saturday 18th January 10.00 am to 12 noon at the St. Martins Centre with the possibility of a 5 week course starting 25th January 10.00am to 12 noon at St. Martins or a Tuesday evening 7-9pm at Oswestry starting January 21st.

If you would like further information please contact the college on 01691 688000.
