Dr Sam Willis is one of the world’s leading authorities on maritime and naval history.  A historian, archaeologist and broadcaster, Sam is the author of the Fighting Ships series and the best-selling Hearts of Oak Trilogy; the second book of which was “The Admiral Benbow:  The Life and Times of a Naval Legend”.  He appears regularly on TV and Radio and has recently presented a three-part series on “Shipwrecks” for BBC4.
