Nesscliffe Heritage Project Working Group

A new Group
NESSCLIFFE HERITAGE PROJECT WORKING GROUP

Clive Dean, the Countryside Sites and Green Space Officer, has suggested
that a group is formed to study the history of The Cliffe, its
industrial use, Quarrying, and the people who built their homes on the
Common Land.

Anyone interested in getting involved can attend the meeting in Little Ness Village Hall, "to get the ball rolling", at 7pm on Wednesday 19th February.

There are obviously a lot of heritage features on Nesscliffe hill and the Cliffe so developing a Heritage project to investigate, record, interpret and celebrate them will be very worthwhile and hopefully help more of the public to appreciate the area.

Please pass this message on to anyone who you think might be interested in getting involved, particularly from Ruyton XI Towns or the little villages in and around Nesscliffe.
