OPTICIANS in Station Road, BASCHURCH

I have recently had an appointment with the Baschurch Opticians, P. W. Churms, which was opened in January.

The opticians, Sana and Indy are charming and efficient and the transformation of the whole building is breathtaking, almost impossible to picture the shelves of food, chiller cabinet and post office of the past.

Kal, who ran Clementines after Malcolm and Val, is very much in evidence as it is his son Indy is one of the opticians.

Shirley and Lilly used to work in the post office and the shop but are now the elegant and helpful receptionists.

Drive or get the bus 9 miles to an optician in  Shrewsbury or Oswestry - or a mile or two to The Old Post Office/Clementines in Station Road, Baschurch?  No contest.

I know where I am going to have my eyes tested in future.
