| | | Beating Retreat and Sunset Ceremony - This Saturday! Saturday 3rd June 2017 Having taken time out of their busy diary, playing at Buckingham Palace and other ceremonial events, and by kind permission of the Commanding Officer, The Royal Yeomanry State Band will be performing Beating Retreat and Sunset Ceremony at Moor Farm on Saturday 03 June 2017. This band are the UK's only Reserve State band. In addition to the Band, there will be a varitety military equipment to look at (including a helicopter weather permitting) and Reserve Soldiers to talk to about life in the Army today. Come and taste the latest rations!! This free event is open to the public and is suitable for all ages. Gates open at 6.30 and everyone is asked to be in place by 6.55pm as the ceremony starts at 7 pm. Please be prompt and some security measures may be in place. After the parade, the bar and BBQ will remain open and provides an opportunity to catch up with old friends. Any veterans attending are encouraged to wear their official medals (no unofficial medals) and Veterans badge to add to this great ceremony. There is no dress code for the public but most importantly, dress for the weather as there is no wet weather plan!! | | | |
| | | Boot Camp - This Monday! 5th June onwards Moor Farm is delighted to welcome AJ Fitness 4 U who will be conducting a boot camp at Moor Farm. Boot Camp is a fun and effective full body workout in the great outdoors!! The sessions will be run by the lovely Amy All levels of fitness welcome. The following days and times are as follows: Start date Monday 5th June 6AM = Monday & Wednesdays (45 mins) 8PM = Tuesdays (1 Hr) 9.15AM = Wednesday (term time only) (1 Hr) 8AM = Saturday (1 Hr) £5 per session or £40 unlimited sessions per month. | | | Open Farm Sunday Sunday 11th June 2017 11am -3pm LEAF Open Farm Sunday, managed by LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming), is one of the farming industry's biggest success stories. Since the first Open Farm Sunday in 2006, over 1000 farmers across the UK have opened their gates and welcomed people onto their farm for one Sunday each year. It is a fantastic opportunity for everyone, young and old, to discover at first hand what it means to be a farmer and the fabulous work they do producing our food and managing the countryside. | | | Polo Tournament Sunday 25th June 2017 After the success of our first tournament with Maple Rose winning the Timmis Cup. Our next tournament will be on Sunday 25th June. It will commence at 11am. The day will take place at Moor Farm Polo Club and entrance is free to the general public. There will be a public bar and BBQ available but if you are wanting a delicious and unlimited continental brunch for £15 in the comfort of a marquee, day membership will also be available at £20 (limited tickets). There are picnic packs available from the farm shop at £12. Come along and enjoy a wonderful day of polo. Whatever you do - dress for the weather and get ready to stamp in those divots!! | | | |
