Qube will be shining a spotlight on the art world this month as it hosts an exhibition of works by one of the most important modern artists of the 21st century, the French artist, Henri Matisse.
Matisse was a French painter and sculptor who, along with Picasso helped to define and influence radical contemporary art in the 20th century. The exhibition, called 'Matisse: Drawing with Scissors', features 35 lithographic reproductions of Matisse's famous 'cut-outs', including many of his iconic images, including The Snail and the Blue Nudes. The works were produced in the last few years of the artist's life when the artist was confined to his bed.
