Everybody knows rules have to be followed, especially in libraries. No running allowed, and you must be quiet.
But what would happen if a lion came to storytime? There are aren't any rules about lions in the library, are there?!
This beautiful story invigorates an endangered species - the local library- with songs, laughter, lots of joining in, and maybe even a big furry hug! BUT NO ROARING!
£3 per child - please prebook to ensure your place (max one free adult per child). Suitable ages 4-7.
Learning at Lunchtime: Wilfred Owen, Poet of Oswestry, with Dave Andrews

Dave Andrews, Reader/Writer in Residence at Oswestry Library, talks about his tenth book, 'Wilfred Owen: Poet of Oswestry'. The book provides a summary of the life of Wilfred Owen and a general introduction to his work.

Singing for Health with Chloe Murray!

Back by popular demand, these singing workshops with Chloe from Kindred Voices can help you relax and discover how singing for health can support your health and wellbeing. No previous experience is required.

Unveiling of the Wilfred Owen Bench, with Designs in Mind
SUNDAY 4 November 2018, 2-3pm
Designs in Mind have been working in partnership with Oswestry Library to design and paint a commemorative bench, for permanent installation in the library, in commemoration of the centenary and Wilfred Owen's life. Come along for a special unveiling session at the library on Sunday, to hear about the project, the process, and to see the finished product! In association with the Wilfred Owen Festival, Poetry on Loan and Shropshire Archives. Refreshments will be served.
Free entry, but please let us know you are coming, so we can prepare refreshments.
Books Aloud- We read, you relax.
Tuesday 6 & 20 November, 2-3pm
Looking for a daytime group with a difference? Drop in, pull up a chair and listen to great stories and poems for adults read aloud by library staff and volunteers.

Anti-Bullying, with Lise McNamaraSaturday 17 November 2018, 1-3pm
1-in-5 of all young people in U.K. have witnessed bullying within the past 12-months, with 50% of them witnessing it at least once a month.
Join Lise McNamara, Well-being and Working Environment Facilitator, for an exploration into bullying, what it is, how it works, why people bully, and how we can break the cycle permanently. Lise will present the newest research from Denmark, where the numbers are now decreasing, with a social-psychological focus. This talk will share a different approach to tackling bullying.

Board Games CaféSaturday 24 November 2018, 10-1pm
