The LADS theatre group presents 2 great One Act plays and the final performance this year of Out of the Land.
The Girl in the Green Dress In a war-torn seaside town, Liam is in trouble. Surrounded by enemy forces and seeking shelter in a dilapidated hotel, he seeks to fortify himself with a cocktail of whiskey and pain pills. But with his defences lowered and his judgment impaired, will he be in any fit state to fight the battle ahead?
Three More Sleepless Nights Three More Sleepless Nights is about two kinds of quarrel – the one where you can't speak and the one where you both talk at once. A triptych which rotates three couples across the same bedroom scene is both unsettling and amusing. Possibly because we recognise ourselves? Let's hope not! Uses adult themes and some strong language.
Out of the Land A special blend of poetry, narrative and song telling the stories of three women from South Shropshire in the 17th and18th centuries.
Tickets £7 online at Ticketsource, from Rowanthorn, Chapel Court, Oswestry, or ring and reserve from Marg Kynaston 01691 830558
The next production - Richard III - this August and September at Chirk Castle, the Willow Globe in Rhayader and the Walker Theatre, Theatre Severn. Watch out for details or call Pam Johnson on 01691 658032 for dates and details.
