A SNAPSHOT IN TIME
People today are Tomorrow`s History
It has been observed how `The Pictorial History of Ruyton and the Eleventowns` by Yoland Brown in 2007, and more recently, John Guest`s facebook page, have given great pleasure to people looking back at Ruyton people over the years. This has encouraged Irena White & Yoland Brown to devise a project to compare people and their work today with that recorded in the 1911 census.
The 1911 census recorded members in the household and occupations of those who worked.
Our proposal is to do this for 2020. We would record names of people and their occupation, including retirees, who live in the village.
Obviously the difference is that we can now add photos of people at `Rest Work and Play` (but we suggest not children).
