Dear Blogger
Message from David Shearan, the Cliffe Crew.
Do you love the Cliffe? Do you often walk, run or ride there?
Here are three things you can do to help protect and maintain it:
1. The attached photo is of the newly widened bridleway that leads up onto the open heath of the Cliffe. Help to keep it open by using all the path and tread
down the grass and bracken to the sides.
2) Bruise the bracken - you can help keep the bracken at bay by treading it down to snap it near its base or by simply tugging it out. Every little helps - reduce the bracken and improve the habitat for heather and other heathland species.
3 Join the Cliffe Crew - we meet on the second Sunday of every month and work under the guidance of our Park Ranger to carry out tasks aimed at improving the habitat for nature and people
