Last gardens opening for the National Gardens Scheme this year

Dear Blogger

Last summer opening at Sambrook Manor
The last of our summer openings is at the beautiful, elegant garden, with its sweeping lawns and deep, colourful borders, at Sambrook Manor, Sambrook, nr Newport.  Open to National Garden Scheme visitors from 12.30 to 5pm on Sunday 29th August.  Delightful oriental garden, rill, acers, pond and stream complete the picture at this lovely location.  Tickets are available in advance or visitors can just pay on the gate on the day: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/31617
Windy Ridge open over the weekend of 4th & 5th September
One of Shropshire's most beautifully designed and planted gardens - Windy Ridge at Little Wenlock, nr Telford, will be open to National Garden Scheme visitors over the weekend of 4th & 5th of September (12-5pm on each day). Inspirational planting and balance of texture, form and all-season colour, the garden more than lives up to its award-winning record. Over 1000 species of plants set off by well-tended lawns, plenty of water and fascinating sculpture: there is much to admire in this beautiful garden.  Visitors can just turn up and pay on the gate.  For more information and advanced tickets if preferred, visit: https://ngs.org.uk/view-garden/19863
