After a trip to Shrewsbury and back I can report that serious work has now begun in Baschurch on stripping out the main road surface with a large machine, They are also working on re-setting the main drain covers to the correct height. It took the bus some 10 minutes to get through the works area on the return journey as various works vehicles have to manoeuvre out of the way. I won't be going that way for a few days now.
Message today from Jackie Jones re PRESCOTT SURGERY DURING ROADWORKS
Update on the road surfacing - tomorrow (17/4/25) the road from the roundabout to the Milford turn will be resurfaced one side of the road at a time. The contractors hope to do the side of the road directly outside the Surgery between 12.30pm and 2pm - so there will be very limited or no access to the car park between these times. The workmen say there will be fewer delays if you approach the surgery from the Shrewsbury end - please bear this in mind if you have an appointment or have to collect meds.
